About Us

The DermBar was founded by Britney Kaufman and Cheryl Concepcion in 2023. After having worked in the field of dermatology for over 10 years, we have dually watched the consistent and detrimental decline of the medical industry. Pt care has drastically deteriorated as has the time providers are able to dedicate to their patients. Our inspiration to become medical providers over a decade ago was motivated by the desire to make a positive impact on people’s lives, and throughout the development of The DermBar, that inspiration has been revitalized. Let us take it back to square one, where patients and their needs matter, and most importantly, they are listened to. We find it vital to approach every individual’s specific needs as their own and vow to always treat the patient, not just the problem. By staying ahead of the curve on medical care, cosmetic practices, and wellness we can focus on medicine for the “whole person.” To integrate all areas of our practice to create a more conducive and beneficial treatment plan. The creation of The DermBar is for every patient who feels they have become lost within our complicated system, for every patient who feels their needs continue to go un-met.
